AsiaLife POS System Development
Bridging the Last Mile for the Migrant Worker O2O Market
The AsiaLife POS system leverages Sunmi hardware and a cloud platform to solve shopping accessibility for nearly 1 million migrant workers. It empowers traditional Southeast Asian grocery stores with multi-language digital tools for seamless business transformation.

By the end of 2025, Taiwan is home to nearly 1 million Southeast Asian migrant workers who rely heavily on specialized grocery and telecom stores. Historically, these stores depended on manual bookkeeping and cash transactions, lacking digital tools and online sales channels. AsiaLife aimed to integrate online shopping needs with physical store resources through an O2O (Online to Offline) platform. TWJOIN was commissioned to build this system, serving 1 million workers and providing shop owners with intuitive digital management tools to increase overall market coverage.
Given the diverse languages of migrant workers, the system must support Vietnamese, Indonesian, Thai, and English within a single architecture, featuring an extremely intuitive UI.
Migrant workers primarily use cash. Connecting offline 'cash collection' with online orders and real-time inventory deduction was the core technical focus.
Digital literacy varies across thousands of stores. Manual bookkeeping is inefficient and fragmented. The system must lower the entry barrier to drive digital adoption among traditional shop owners.
Developed a dedicated POS application for Sunmi hardware, ensuring high stability for real-time printing, barcode scanning, and cash management.
Unified handling of online orders, store data, and reconciliation reports. Provided stable APIs for two-way communication with the AsiaLife ecosystem.
The system remains flexible for future expansions, such as integrating e-payments or logistics management systems, providing a long-term technical foundation.

Cloud Sync between AsiaLife & POS
